Building a baby registry can be extremely overwhelming. But don’t worry, you have come to the right place. This is the only  baby registry list you will ever need (hopefully).

My twin boys are almost eight months now and we have really gotten into the swing of things. There are definitely some things I wish I had added to my registry and some things unregistered for.

When I first found out I pregnant in July of 2021, I started doing extensive research about all the baby must haves, the best  baby products and the hottest baby products. I watched countless of YouTube reviews and asked other moms about their top baby products. I followed baby experterts and pretty sure I watched and read every baby product review that is out there before actually investing into something.

Very often, I am asked about baby items and products and can honestly tell you almost everything there is to know about baby gear. Although I have twins, there will only be a few items which are twin specific and I make a clear distinction for you.

In this baby registry post, we are covering the following topics. Feel free to use the links below to navigate the post.

What is a Baby Registry?

A baby registry is a list of items expecting parents would like to receive as gifts from family, friends and relatives prior to their baby’s arrival. This is done by registering with a store / website.

The store / website manages the baby registry ensuring there aren’t duplicate purchases and that the registry is visible to others. Once the baby arrives, many baby registry stores / websites typically offer a registry discount where you have the opportunity to purchase anything remaining on the registry.

One tip – add something you really want, because if it is left unpurchased, you can potentially use your registry discount after your baby’s arrival.

Transportation

Bugaboo Donkey 3 Twin Stroller

This was probably my most researched item. There is definitely a lot less options when it comes to a twin stroller. I was set on the UPPAbaby Vista Stroller due to it’s multi functional use. It grows with your family by simply adding the RumbleSeat for a toddler, it can be converted to a twin stroller or simply used with one baby. It had amazing reviews! My biggest issue with this stroller was the way the twin seats were designed – the seats / bassinets were stacked on top of each other and the two seats did not support the same weight.

It was important for me to see my two babies at the same time, be able to talk to both of them and for them to see each other. That is when I came across the Bugaboo Donkey 3. It is not only a side by side twin stroller but can also be used as a mano stroller. I will say this stroller was an investment, but for us it was worth it because we know this stroller will last us years due to its quality.

My biggest worry with a side by side twin stroller was that it will be too BIG to get through doors and shopping isles. So I did a width comparison between the UPPAbaby Vista and the Bugaboo – UPPAbaby Vista is 25.7″W while the Bugaboo when converted to a twin is 29″W! So we are talking about being a little over 3″ wider and the Bugaboo twin stroller fits though most standard doorways. I was SOLD! This stroller has so many wonderful options that I can go on and on about. Maybe one day I will dedicate a post to it!

Bugaboo Turtle One by Nuna Infant Car Seat and Base

The car seats are compatible with the Bugaboo Stroller. With a purchase of a Twin Car seat adapter for the stroller, you can easily use them with the stroller as well. These are extremely light weight and have amazing ratings and reviews!

Britax Backseat Mirror

At first I was hesitant about adding this to my baby registry due to mixed reviews. Many mentioned the mirror was more distracting to them while driving. But I ultimately I decided to add it because it will provide a sense of comfort when I am driving with the babies alone. I can quickly look at them and have that sense of peace.

Diaper Bag

This one is probably one of my favorite purchases for myself! I absolutely adore this diaper bag. It was a little bit of a splurge but it doesn’t look like your typical diaper bag and can be definitely used as a travel bag, work bag or a weekender bag. It has many compartments which is perfect for organizing. The bag also comes with a changing pad, bottle insulator and a cross body strap. It’s my favorite and it looks amazing clipped on the stroller.

Baby Feeding

Twin Z Pillow

The number one recommended item by all Twin Moms was the Twin Z Pillow! It’s great for breastfeeding, bottle feeding and something for babies to lounge in. The pillow cover is machine washable which is a plus!

OXO Tot® Sprout™ High Chair

I did originally add the Stokke Clikk Highchair to the baby registry just based off reviews. I’ll admit, I didn’t do any research on it. Lost story short, I was in Nordstrom one day and saw this highchair in person, I HATED IT. It was too short, the legs were too wide, and the tray was tiny. I knew I had to exchange it. That’s when the OXO Tot Sprout came in the picture. It was recommended to me by other Mamas and in my opinion it’s a great high chair. It’s easy to clean, can be used up to 60lbs, has 3 height position, adjustable footrest to mention a few. It also comes in so many different color options!

Baby Brezza Formula Dispenser

This was another item recommended by EVERYONE, even my husbands work colleagues. Apparently it’s like a ‘coffee maker’ aka milk maker for babies. My plan and hope is to breastfeed the babies. Expecting twins and just not knowing if my body will produce enough milk, this was definitely a must have for us. With a touch of a button, a warmed up baby bottle is made within seconds. I am sure this will be a lifesaver. I also did research on formulas and will share more once the babies arrive.

Wabi Baby™ 3-in-1 Steam Sterilizer and Dryer Plus

With twins there is double of everything! Apparently you can spend a lot of time cleaning and sterilizing bottles by hand. We chose the Wabi Baby because it has a pretty big basket inside and you can comfortably fit a lot of items (like bottles and pumping parts) which is a plus. The extra benefit, it dries everything for you, so that will definitely help to reduce the baby items on counter.

Philips Avent Natural Glass Bottles

Initially I added only plastic bottles to the baby registry because my first thought about glass bottles was that babies and glass shouldn’t mix. That was until one day I randomly asked my mom when my sister and I were babies did we drink out of plastic bottles? She told me plastic bottles wasn’t even a thing, we only drank from glass bottles (I was born in Ukraine).

That’s when I started looking into this and some of the things I came across that could be potential side effects in the later year of the babies lives, I knew glass was the way to go. Glass bottles also last a LOT LONGER, easier to clean and collect way less bacteria than plastic. I also got sleeves for the glass bottles which essentially makes it almost impossible for the bottle to break (at least that’s what I’ve read).

The Olababy Bottle is a great glass alternative that is still better than plastic. It is made of 100% non toxic silicone and is BPA, PVC & phthalate-free. I will also include below some of the other glass baby bottles I got.

Sleep

SNOO Smart Sleeper Bassinet

So this one was a splurge. I’ve been told having one baby is tough and that you can say goodbye to sleep, so I can’t even imagine what it’s like having two! So I knew if there’s something out there to help us just a little, get us a few extra hours of sleep, it was worth it. I read COUNTLESS number of reviews, watches a number of YouTube videos and even asked Mamas who owned a snoo – is it worth it

The answer I always found was if it fits in your budget, GET IT! I know it won’t be a miracle product during the first month of the babies lives but I sure hope it will help after that! I’ve read lots of review of babies sleeping through the night after 6 weeks. I cannot give any personal reviews on this yet, but once we start using it, I will definitely provide an update.

I haven’t mentioned swaddles and that’s because the SNOO uses special snoo sacks which swaddle the baby.

P.S. you can also rent the snoo based on a monthly subscription which can be cancelled at anytime!

Bath

Aqua Scale 3-in-1 Digital Scale Water Thermometer and Infant Tub

We liked this tub because it grows with the baby and can be used from newborn to toddler. I found that having a scale and a water thermometer was a plus! It has great reviews!

Tubby Todd All Over Ointment, Shampoo and Lotion

I clubbed all of these together since they are all from the same company but the All Over Ointment is our MUST! It has helped us with baby acne, diaper rashes, blisters from diapers and dry flaky skin on the scalp. One of the twins developed baby acne in the first two weeks and we used the All Over Ointment for three days and it was gone! This product is amazing, it has more than 5K positive 5 star reviews so there’s no wonder why it’s our holy grail as well. We basically use it for everything. I cannot recommend it enough. A little goes a long way so you will have this product for months.

We also love the Shampoo and Lotion. The ingredients are amazing. It’s gentle enough for the tiniest newborn and toddler faces, and good for sensitive skin. They have amazing scents. I am so happy I found this brand and if you purchase any product through this link, you will get 10% off. Trust me you will be happy these products!

Diapering

Keekaroo Peanut Changer

We decided this was the best option for us because it’s wipeable and doesn’t require a changing pad cover. Having two babies will equate to lots and lots of diaper changes so having something that is easy to clean is always a plus!

ubbi Diaper Pail

The ubbi diaper pail was a MUST because it locks in all of the diaper odors, and we will definitely be going through a lot of those! In addition it has amazing reviews on Amazon!

Earth Mama Organics Baby Diaper Balm

I’ve read amazing reviews about the Earth Mama line. It’s 100% organic calendula diaper cream, cloth diaper friendly, dermatologist tested and clinically tested for irritation, has NO petroleum, parabens or artificial fragrance.

Pampers Sensitive Wipes

I’ve been slowly stocking up on these and they have great reviews! If you are a Costco member, they also sell them in their warehouse. They are unscented and have no fragrance added, dye-free, phenoxyethonal-Free and Paraben-Free!

Diapers

Another thing I did research on! It was important for the diapers to be free of chlorine, tributyltin, fragrances, dyes, plastic and other harsh chemicals. When I was a baby, I was in cloth diapers so having harsh chemicals so close to the baby genitals for 24 hours a day just makes me nervous. I also ordered diaper samples and was able to feel them before buying an entire box which helped me narrow down to my two favorites!

Offspring Diapers and the Costco Kirkland Diapers were my top two choices! I absolutely love Offspring, they are the softest, most absorbent and the ingredients are amazing! They come in such cute patterns as well. Hopefully I will love them once I start using them with the babies so stay tuned for an update!

Baby Gear

BABYBJÖRN Bouncer

Lots of people rave about this bouncer so we decided to add it to our baby registry as well. One thing I love about this bouncer is that it can be used from infant up to two years old! It has different recline positions, the fabric is washable, can be easily stored and put away. This bouncer also makes great for traveling, it’s super light and perfect for the next time they go to Gramas! It comes in lots of colors and different fabrics! You can also add an optional toy which helps the baby be more entertained! I cannot wait to use this with the babies!

Lovevery Play Gym

I feel like this play gym is mentioned by every mom! This play gym is great for baby development. The play gym transports into a tent, which is great once they get older! This can be used when they are infants, can be setup and taken down in 2 minute and the play mat made with machine washable polyester.

Playpen

A play pen was a must for us! It’s a safe place for the baby to play incase you ever need a free hand. It was important for us that the playpen is portable, lightweight and has a cover incase we ever want to use it outside to protect the babies from the harmful UV rays. The California Beach Co playpen is a dream, not only is it beautiful, it takes 10 second to setup! You have the option of adding an inflatable mattress and sheets. The sheets can be washed which is perfect. They have the cutest options and colors! This is definitely one of my favorite baby gear items! You can also use my coupon code ‘PLH10‘ for an extra 10% off!

DockATot

This is definitely a nice to have item and not a must have. It’s another item that every Mom raves about! It great for resting, playing and lounging. It is lightweight and easy to travel with both in and outside of the home. Designed to mimic the womb, it’s a safe spot to supervise tummy time as it can be positioned under your little one’s arms to help develop neck strength and motor skills. It comes in many different colors and the cover is washable which is always a plus!

4moms mamaRoo Swing

Another item that I feel like is owned by every parent. Lots of Moms rave about the mamaRoo swing. It has 5 unique motions and swings, adjustable seat recline and built in sound. It can be used from birth to 25lbs (or when baby can sit up unassisted). In case you want to use it from birth, it does have a newborn seat insert which can be purchased separately.

Baby Play Mat

We don’t have carpet throughout the house, so a baby play mat was a must for us. The play mat is made up of six 2 feet by 2 feet squares, 100% waterproof, easy to clean and built to last. Yay! Mats foam tiles are made of high density hypoallergenic foam, perfect for infant tummy time and learning to crawl. 100% non-toxic – free of harmful lead, BPAs, and phthalates. There’s a few different pattern options and they are absolutely beautiful!

Nursery Decor & Safety

Nanit Baby Monitor

I’ll be honest, this one I struggled with because there are just so many different options when it comes to baby monitors. For us it was important to have a baby monitor that can be connected to multiple devices, can be taken with us when we travel, good reliability and great video quality. Many recommendations I did received was this baby monitor. It also has the option of breathing wear which monitor your baby’s breathing motion with no sensors on their body. This is great if you are really anxious about SIDS and need that extra piece of mind.

Sound Machine & Night Light

This sound machine and night light was recommended on every video I ever watched when it came to baby ‘must haves’. It’s an adjustable night light, sound machine and time-to-rise indicator all in one. Controlled though an app on your phone or on the actual device, you can set your favorites and program sounds to your liking. We actually already started using this and I must say, it has actually even helped me sleep better! I’ve been having some sleepless nights and ever since using this I found myself sleeping better. I absolutely love this and it will be a great nightlight for those late night diaper changes.

Bear Hamper

So this one is a nice to have item. I personally love this hamper for the babies room and I think it’s adorable. One of my favorite gifts I received from the registry!

Electronic Baby Nail File

Lots of Moms recommended using an electronic nail file as it makes it a lot easier to file newborns nails. This one also has great reviews on Amazon.

Baby Thermometer

This baby thermometer makes taking temperature really easy. This thermometer is great for all ages, taking away the hassle and discomfort that comes with under-the-tongue or in-the-ear thermometers.

Cuddle and Kind Dolls

These dolls are definitely not a must have but I wanted to include them in this list because they are absolutely adorable. I also love that everytime you buy a doll, 10 meals are donated to kids in need. They are handmade with premium cotton and make such a beautiful gift! You can use this link to receive an extra 20% off.

Other

You can also check out my Amazon Shop where I have added many more baby items I have put together that were not included above!

I hope you have found this list helpful and if you have any other recommendations, leave them in the comments below!

What do you really need two of?

Definitely the essentials such as two car seats, two cribs, two highchairs, two bassinets (if not using the twin halo). Things like baby swings and bouncers are not essential to have two off. Some babies may not even like to be in a bouncer or a swing.

My recommendation is first start with one and if you see both babies are really enjoying it and you feel like you need a second, then it your call to make.
