Are you looking for an easy yet effective skincare routine? Here is the step-by-step routine for morning and night skincare products that will have your skin glowing. Also sharing a few of my skincare tips that will transform your skin and barefaced skincare review and code!
Skincare can be extremely overwhelming especially when there are so many different products on the market. But what if I told you, that your skincare routine can be done in under 5 minutes while completely transforming your skin. As someone who struggled with cystic acne and getting my skin under control, I now understand the importance of skincare and how it doesn’t have to be overwhelming and complicated.
I like to keep my skincare routine as simple as possible, especially as a busy mom to twin toddlers. This skincare routine is simple, effective, and pregnancy-safe. It will transform your skin and give you the glowing complexion you always wanted.
So if you are looking to update or switch your skincare routine, here are the exact products I use and love.
This post is all about the skincare routine for morning and evening.

Evening Skincare routine
The main purpose of the evening routine is to repair. Your skin most likely absorbed products, SPF, and other environmental exposures. Your evening skincare routine is all about replenishing and correcting.
Also, another thing I love to do is do my skincare an hour before going to bed so the products all absorb into my skin instead of my pillow! This will be a game-changer for you!
Step 1: Double Cleanse
Double Cleansing at night has truly been a game changer for my skincare routine and this is one of my skincare tips for you.. I learned this trick from Jordan Harper who is the founder of Barefaced Skincare and also a twin mom. The reason I double cleanse at night is because I usually have makeup on or sunscreen, so it helps remove all that junk from my face and break down the SPF.
First I use this micellar water to remove makeup/products. Then I follow it up with this cleanser. I use this facial exfoliating tool to help clean my face better.
Also one of my best skincare tips is to use these towels after you cleanse. They are disposable after each use and so beneficial to your skincare routine. A towel is most likely harboring lots of bacteria even if it's clean, so these towels are the perfect addition to your skincare products.

Step 2: Tone
I’ve recently incorporated them into my skincare routine and they have done wonders for my skin. The Toning Pads make my face feel so soft and sometimes remove even more makeup.
These toning pads gently exfoliate away dull, dead skin cells to brighten and even out skin tone. They also help unclog pores.
I only use this at night and if my skin feels extra dry, I will skip this step.

Step 3: Vitamin C
I like to use liquid gold from Barefaced. Our vitamin C gets depleted by the time night time comes around so I like to apply this in the evening as well to help repair my skin and encourage collagen production.

Step 4: Serum
I love using the Overachiever from the Barefaced line. This 10-in-1 serum helps to straighten your skin barrier and reduce redness. It also has the ingredient called bakuchiol which has similar benefits to a retinoid, minimizing fine lines and wrinkles and boosting collagen and elastin production. This is perfect if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and cannot use products like retinoids.
Five Benefits of Overachiever:
- Visibly reduces redness + puffiness
- Targets fine lines + encourages collagen production (a pregnancy-safe retinoid alternative or retinoid booster)
- Calms + soothes the skin, minimizing irritation + helping the skin retain moisture
- Minimizes the appearance of pores + improves skin firmness
- Stimulates cellular turnover + enhances the efficacy of other skincare products to prevent against premature aging + promote long-term skin health

Step 5: Eye Cream
An eye cream can help improve black circles, retain moisture, maintain elasticity, and improve fine lines, wrinkles, and dryness. I apply the eye cream after my serum and right before my final step which is the moisturizer.

Step 6: Moisturizer
The last step of the routine is a moisturizer. I have struggled to find a good moisturizer that kept my skin hydrated and wasn’t oily or dry. This lightweight moisturizer is one of the best ones I found on the market. It's formulated with niacinamide, which reduces redness, and peptides help to firm the skin.

Morning Skincare routine
My morning skincare is all about protecting my skin from any damage that may be caused to it during the day. This includes sun damage and environmental factors. My typical morning skincare routine looks like this:
Step 1: Cleanse
I don’t typically double cleanse in the morning. I use the same cleanser as I do in the evening to remove any dirt on my face and prep it for my morning skincare products.

Step 2: Vitamin C
Liquid Gold from Barefaced is a multitasking antioxidant serum. It is designed to penetrate deep into the skin, providing antioxidant protection from UV damage, and defending against premature aging of the skin, while encouraging collagen production and boosting the effectiveness of SPF.
I like to apply 3-4 drops to my face, neck and chest.

Step 3: Serum
The overachiever is formulated to tackle multiple concerns and is designed to elevate your skincare routine. I apply 1-3 pumps to my face, neck, and chest twice daily following Liquid Gold.
Some key takeaways of the overachiever are:
- Bakuchiol (a pregnancy/nursing-safe retinoid alternative) targets fine lines and improves skin texture
- Resveratrol, green tea, and caffeine provide exceptional antioxidant protection to prevent premature aging
- Hydrating and soothing ingredients to visibly reduce redness, puffiness, and irritation

Step 4: Eye-Cream
Improves the appearance of 10 signs of visible aging in the delicate eye area: crepiness, crow’s feet, dark circles, elasticity, firmness, puffiness, radiance, smoothness, tone, and under-eye wrinkles.
This eye cream for dark circles also includes caffeine and an inclusive blend of optical diffusers to disperse light and immediately improve the radiance of tired, dull-looking eyes across all skin tones.

Step 5: Moisturizer
I apply two pumps of the same moisturizer I use in the evening. This moisturizer is lightweight and extremely moisturizing. Meticulously formulated to strengthen and nourish your skin's moisture barrier, it works to reduce redness, enhance radiance, and revitalize lackluster, dull skin.

Step 6: SPF
Summing up, this is the last part of my morning skincare routine. There are 2 SPFs I like to use:
- Tinted SPF from Barefaced
This is an SPF 50+ and is a weightless, mineral-based tint that brings a little extra glow to your routine, while broad-spectrum protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays helps prevent sun damage and fine lines. This tinted moisturizer doesn’t have a lot of coverage. It’s more of a natural-looking tinted moisturizer that will give you a beautiful glow.
- Tinted Moisturizer from Revision Skincare
I like to use this tinted moisturizer as makeup. It provides more coverage in comparison to the tinted moisturizer from Barefaced.
Formulated as a 5-in-1 formula, this tinted daily moisturizer helps to correct, protect, conceal, brighten and hydrate the skin, while the 100% all-mineral technology provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB SPF 45 protection.
Some of the key benefits of this tinted moisturizer are:
- Improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- 100% all‐mineral technology that provides UVA and UVB broad‐spectrum protection
- Enhances skin's natural moisture barrier
- Formulated without hidden chemical sunscreens, parabens, alcohol and artificial fragrances
In summary, I truly love both of these and cannot go a day without them!

What is Barefaced skincare? And my review of it!
I mentioned Barefaced products a lot so I want to speak a little bit abut them. Barefaced Skincare was founded by Jordan Harper who is also a twin mama like me, so I felt a connection and wanted to support her. I'll be honest, I did a lot of research on these products because they are not cheap by any means. I got mine when they were on sale and I've been using them for a few months now.
The routine is simple yet powerful. In a few easy and simple steps barefaced skincare gives you a medical-grade skincare routine. It is extremely important to ease into these products because your skin may undergo some purging which means the products are working! This lasted for me for about 2-3 weeks.
So would I ultimately recommend the barefaced skincare line? Yes! I find it that their products are effective and easy to use and I keep going back to them. If you start with one product, I would recommend the Toning Pads and the brand was kind enough to give me a code for you to use. Code "IRYNA10" for 10% off your first purchase.
